Melissa received PhD in Clinical Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University, where she is also a full-time faculty member at its Psychology Department. Her research interests include positive psychology, transnational families, and men and masculinities. She is collaborating with the research group on migration studies and on her dissertation on the process of resilience of Filipino domestic helpers and their left-behind families.
